Services

Scriptwriting

Mark has several years experience in writing, and as this web site shows, in various mediums and in all manner of subjects and styles.
However, Mark offers two main advantages, the ability to:

  • Create and develop totally new narratives and their constituent parts and plots.
  • Work with developing established narratives and make exciting new ideas from existing characters and plots.

Along with experience in continuity, long term planning and flexibility, Mark can offer a quality, comprehensive, original and never forgotten 'scriptwriting' package.

 

Directing

Having directed both video and CD productions, Mark is an expert in making the product look or sound the best.

  • In video - whether an exciting emotional drama or a stylistic product promotion, the camerawork and lighting will be adapted to provide stunning and relevant results.
  • In CD/audio - an ear for the right sound (and with at least 8 successful CD releases in the shops) Mark can send your listeners to the locations desired and learn/ enjoy what the client desires.

 

Producing

Once the budget is confirmed, you can leave the worrying to MJTV. We never go over budget and make it clear what you will get for the money you are paying.
We deal with organisation, location viewing, casting, crewing, providing scripts, call sheets, contracts to name but a few.
(In some circumstances clients may need to provide certain locations, props)
At all times we work to the client's approval - it is your project!

 

Tutoring

With experience of:

  • Teaching 'how to use a camera' and the effects of watching / video to Essex County Council staff.
  • Teaching a GNVQ unit on video production for Burnham secondary school
    Helping teach Drama GCSE at St Peters School in Portsmouth.

Mark can provide bespoke lessons, imparting his extensive and wide ranging knowledge to any audience.

 

Broadcasting

One of his productions 'Gardens For Life' which Mark wrote and directed has recently been broadcast on 'The Discovery Channel'

Also written and directed an advert for Anglia Co-op which was broadcast in 1996

Starting as a part-time runner at Meridian television in early 1994, Mark was soon offered a 3-month trainee researchership over the summer of 1994.
He eventually became a researcher on two shows in 1995 - 'Late Night Live' and 'Serve You Right' Before leaving to complete his degree finals.
